Fundraising Criteria and Procedures
The Stand1st Foundation is committed to putting a ballistic shield in the hands of police officers whose departments can’t afford to provide such vital life saving equipment. It is done by providing individuals, organizations, and corporations the ability to make contributions to the department of their choice and at the same time, receiving a tax deductible donation, which can be used as a write-off on their taxes.
The Stand 1st Foundation provides an online application for agencies to complete and be considered for ballistic shield donations for their department. In order to achieve this, the Stand 1st Foundation asks the department making the request to help in raising the funds necessary to purchase those critically necessary, life saving tools.
Here is how we ask you to help: We ask departments to provide us a list of individuals, organizations, and corporations in their community that are supportive of law enforcement. With this list, a document is then produced which clarifies what the Foundation’s purpose is and the partnership the Foundation and the department have forged in striving to achieve the necessary donations to equip your department. The partnership document also details the 501 C (3) advantage and provides the donor with all the necessary documentation for tax filing purposes. Our communities are filled with strong backers of the blue!
